Who Gets the Food?

Who Gets the Food?

We collect thousands of pounds of food every two months. Where does it go?

All of the food the Grants Pass Food Project picks up is taken directly to the Josephine County Food Bank, an independent non-profit food bank that services Grants Pass and all of Josephine County. Through a network of 25+ different food pantries, meal sites, and supplemental agencies, the Josephine County Food Bank is able to feed 13,000 of our neighbors every month. The food donated through the GPFP is particularly important as the need in our area is ever increasing- currently 1 out of every 6 residents in Josephine County receives food through the Food Bank. The food received through the GPFP also provides a selection of diverse, high-quality items that are otherwise hard to come by in a traditional food box.

The food picked up from the Grants Pass Food Project is currently received by these agencies:

  • B Street Food Pantry
  • Calvary Chapel Outreach Center
  • Cave Junction Adventist Community Services
  • Crisis Resolution Center
  • DHS
  • Grants Pass Dorcas Kitchen
  • Hearts With a Mission
  • Hidden Valley High School
  • JCFB Selma Pantry
